Hello, I’m Earlisia Torrence, the proud owner and stylist behind Elegant Tresses. Since opening the salon in November 2005, my passion has been to create a beautiful, welcoming space where every woman feels valued and pampered. At Elegant Tresses, we’re dedicated to delivering personalized hair care that celebrates the unique textures and needs of each client.
Published Work
I am dedicated to staying at the forefront of industry trends through continuous education and active participation in various events. My expertise has been showcased in prestigious publications such as Sophisticate’s Black Hair Style & Care Guide and Universal Salons Magazine. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Marry Me North Carolina magazine to highlight the stunning brides styled by Elegant Tresses.
Education & Experience
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Winston-Salem State University. After a rewarding career in banking, I followed my true passion and pursued cosmetology at Carolina Beauty College. Today, I’m dedicated to promoting healthy hair care practices and empowering my clients with the knowledge they need to care for their hair both in and outside the salon.
Industry Participation
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of participating in some of the most prestigious industry events, including the Bronner Brothers trade show competitions and Winston Salem Fashion Week’s styling team. These invaluable experiences have enabled me to stay ahead of the curve, mastering the latest trends and techniques in hair care and styling.
